Meet Olivia. We had a great time capturing these images, she was a perfectly behaved little lady for four months old.

As some of you may know we're expecting our first baby in late October, and meeting Olivia has made us even more excited. If you know Andy, you may be surprised to hear he was a big ball of mush, but with those big baby blue eyes can you blame him. He really hasn't stopped talking about her since.

Urban Style Pre-Wedding Shoot In Manchester

Erika & I are really pleased to have been asked to photograph our friends wedding. Stuart & Annie are having their big day in an idylic setting in the Lake District.

So as a contrast for their Pre Wedding shoot we thought we'd get them out and about in vibrant Manchester. In between a few cappuccinos and a tasty bite to eat, we've created some contemporary and stylish images to reflect their personalities.

McDonald Photography is expanding

HI Everbody

Well Erika & i have taken the decision to re-invest this year in our web presence. We're finding so many people are interested in more and more detail. So we decided, if that's what our customers want, your wishes shall be granted. We're now going to have a dedicated portrait site, a dedicated wedding site with lots more detail & also a more complete blog with lots more opportunity to showcase our work in its full glory. We will be working hard to complete this over the next 3-4 weeks so we'll keep you posted with the progress.Of course we're going to have great launch party, well a bottle of bubbly between Erika & I anyhow.

I had a great day last Saturday, the sun was blazing hot & it was Pimms on the lawn thank-you-very-much. I've posted a few images from the day, there was no bridal preparations but that's fine. I think we captured some lovely images throughout the day.

Studio images from Saturday 13th June

HI Everyone

Firstly what a great weekend I had, Erika & I went along to the comedy store in Manchester. Erika is now 5 months pregnant which is just awesome, but i was a little concerned with the belly laughing at one point. Happy times! :-)


I also spent a day in the studio on saturday with three great people, which was just fabulous so here are a few from hundreds of shots from the day which i've picked out for you to have a peek at.

I'm really excited about how this time spent stepping back & learning new techniques is going to push my wedding & portrait work to a new level.

Its nearly summer & we're busy to boot !

Hi Everyone,

Firstly its going to be a great Bank holiday & i hope that you're all spending it with your loved ones.

Well i've just returned from a hectic few days in London, i used to work in London & i do like to visit, maybe it's my age, but commuting isnt something i miss.

Well i thought i'd give you an update on a few things happening in June, so you can keep a look out. We have 2 great weddings over the next 3 weeks & also a portrait shoot, so we'll share some images as soon as we can, we know alot of our customers like to keep an eye on our work ;-).

I've also got two very exciting personal projects being planned, which i'm so excited about i cant tell you. I have a professional stylist working with me to design sets, clothing, everything really! its going to be fabulous. As a result i thought i better get some studio time in, so i'm working with 3 models in June to test run a few ideas...keep an eye out for some test shots coming soon & a little more detail.
